What We Do:

In Mecklenburg County, North Carolina and to a limited extent in the immediate surrounding counties (Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Union, Lancaster, and York) we:

  • Educate community members about TNVR

  • Recommend low-cost clinics that spay/neuter community cats

  • Provide subsidies for TNVR and injured or ill community cats in the Charlotte area

  • Loan you traps and show you how to use them safely

  • Guide you throughout the TNVR process

What We Do Not Do:

  • Take in cats or kittens

  • Scan for microchips

  • Assist with pets/owned cats

  • Remove cats from properties

  • Relocate cats

  • Offer adoption/placement services

  • Provide veterinary advice or services

  • Have our own shelter

  • Operate 24/7

If your need is not TNVR-related, or you are located outside of Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Union, Lancaster or York Counties, we recommend utilizing our website FAQs or Resources pages to learn more about TNVR. If you need personalized guidance for your situation, contact your local shelter, animal control, veterinarian, or TNVR organization.

Friends of Feral Felines is a non-profit organization based in Charlotte, NC, focused on helping feral and stray community cats through Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return (TNVR). We are not a rescue, do not operate a shelter, and do not offer fostering services.

Our focus is to educate the public on the importance of TNVR and to provide the tools and guidance needed for community members to carry it out successfully.
