Recommend low-cost clinics that spay/neuter community cats
Provide subsidies for TNVR and injured or ill community cats in the Charlotte area
Loan you traps and show you how to use them safely
Guide you throughout the TNVR process
What We Do Not Do:
Take in cats or kittens
Scan for microchips
Assist with pets/owned cats
Remove cats from properties
Relocate cats
Offer adoption/placement services
Provide veterinary advice or services
Have our own shelter
Operate 24/7
-
We encourage you to review the resources on our website FIRST including the What is TNVR and How to TNVR pages to better understand the process and best practices. It may be helpful to have them open as well as you fill out the form.
Once you’ve done that, please complete and submit the TNVR Assistance Request - Mecklenburg County to:
Receive information on TNVR
Borrow Traps
Receive TNVR clinic recommendations
Receive guidance throughout the TNVR process
Due to high demand and limited volunteer capacity, we rely on community members to take an active role in the TNVR process whenever possible.
-
Please refer to the Community Cat Resources by County web page for resources in your area.
If you are unable to find the information you are looking for, please submit our TNVR Information Request - Non-Mecklenburg County.
Please note: We are a volunteer-run organization, and while we do our best to respond as quickly as possible, response times may be delayed due to the high volume of inquiries we receive from the community.
In the meantime, we encourage you to explore the resources available on our website, which may help you find the information you need more quickly. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Friends of Feral Felines is a non-profit organization based in Charlotte, NC, focused on helping feral and stray community cats through Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return (TNVR). We are not a rescue, do not operate a shelter, and do not offer fostering services.
Our focus is to educate the public on the importance of TNVR and to provide the tools and guidance needed for community members to carry it out successfully.
We have transitioned to using online intake forms rather than using a hotline number. If you’ve called us or left a voicemail message in the past, and have the number saved, going forward you will need to use the appropriate online form above. Thank you!
